How to adopt out a rescue puppy?

I rescued an abused chow mix. When I got her she was in very bad condition. My vet treated her for dislocated hip, staph infection, bacterial infection, and malnutrition. She is has been on numerous pain medications and vitamins. She is doing sooo much better but she is TERRIFIED of young men and teenagers. I posted an ad on craigslist but I im too afraid to adopt her out to some stranger. Is there a rescue that could help me find her a good home? I will continue to take care of her medical care I just don't want her returning back to an abusive situation.
